Dr. Daniel Watrous

M.D.
Dr. Daniel A. Watrous has practiced rheumatology in Visalia, California, since July of 1989. He obtained his Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Medicine degrees from Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He completed his internship, residency, and fellowship in Rheumatology at University of California, Irvine in Southern California before moving to Visalia in 1989. Dr. Watrous has maintained board certification in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology since then, and most recently passed the re-certification examination in rheumatology in 2016. Dr. Watrous loves to read and program computers. His wife Valerie is the administrator for the practice. Together they have seven children and eight grandchildren.

Dr. Frank Scott

DO, FACR, FACOI

Dr. Scott is the founder of Arthritis Medical Center in the Central Coast of California. The Center was founded in 1998 and specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of rheumatic auto-immune conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, lupus, gout, vasculitis, spondyloarthropathies, and osteoporosis.

Dr. Scott received his BS degree from Baylor University and medical degree from the University of Health Sciences in Kansas City, Missouri. He completed his internal medicine residency also in Kansas City and rheumatology fellowship at Walter Reed Medical Center in Washington, DC. He is board certified in both internal medicine and rheumatology and is a founding fellow in the American College of Rheumatology. He has also attended patients at UC Davis Medical Center and Stanford Health Care. He has conducted clinical trials and participates in utilization review and immunology lab consultation.

Dr. Scott enjoys traveling with his wife and sailing on their sailboat “Vixen”.

Pamela Scott

Pamela Scott is a native Californian. She moved to Visalia about 35 years ago where she pursued the beginning of her nursing career at a College of Sequoias. After she graduated she worked in Oncology, doing chemotherapy and radiation treatment management. During her time in oncology she pursued her Bachelors Degree in Nursing from Fresno State. After about 17 years in Oncology she transitioned into Rheumatology. She started as an infusion nurse at Dr. Watrous’ office, then pursued her Master’s in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Fresno State. She has been practicing as a Rheumatology NP for the last 8 years. She is a member of American Association of Nurse Practitioners, California Rheumatology Alliance, American Women in Rheumatology, and Sigma Theta Tau, a Nursing Honor Society. Pam enjoys spending time with her two daughters, wine tasting, taking her dogs for long walks and just relaxing and reading a good book.

Kristin Hopper

Kristin Hopper has lived here in the Central Valley with her family for years. She joined our office in 2016. Kristin has worked as a Nurse Practitioner in Visalia since graduation with experience in Family Practice and Urgent Care Setting. She started as a Registered Nurse over 25 years ago after finishing the College of Sequoias nursing program. After several years of working in both the hospital and outpatient setting, completed a Bachelor Degree in Nursing from California State University of Bakersfield. More recently completed her Masters Degree in Nursing with Family Nurse Practitioner focus at California State University of Fresno in 2010. She is certified with the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and has memberships with Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honor Society and American Women In Rheumatology. In her free time, Kristin enjoys traveling with her husband and visits with her two grown children.

Cynthia Rowell

Cindy Rowell has lived here in the Central Valley with her family for years. She joined our office in 2019. Cindy has worked as a Nurse Practitioner in Visalia since graduation with experience in Emergency room, Family Practice and Urgent Care Setting. She started as a Registered Nurse over 30 years ago after finishing the College of the Sequoias nursing program. After several years of working in both the hospital and outpatient setting, she attended Stanford University where she attended the Nurse Practitioner/ Physician Assistant program, completed her studies December 1999. She is certified with the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and has membership with American Women In Rheumatology. In her free time, Cindy enjoys traveling with her family and spending time with her children.
